Content Marketing Specialist:

Over the course of 12-18 months you'll work alongside our strategy and creative teams to learn what we do for clients, how we do it, and how to develop those strategies for your own clients as you move towards a strategist-level role.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • 40% – Content Creation – Producing content projects for clients and creating them on your own or with the assistance of a writer, graphic designer, or other creative team members. Creating writer’s prompts and scheduling freelance writers for client blog content. Editing and enforcing our internal content standards. This will range from small projects like blog posts to much larger content projects.
  • 40% – Content Promotion - Supporting our strategists with outreach and other content promotion tasks. Our promotional programs typically involve paid and organic social media, SEO, PR & outreach, and email marketing.
  • 20% – Training - Along with our own internal training program, you'll be spending a decent amount of time in the first year learning various marketing skills like web analytics, content marketing, SEO, and more. Most likely we'll expect some self-driven learning/education outside of the office as well.

Desired Experience:

  • Basic marketing experience required - we'd like to see internships, past jobs, or past personal projects where you've worked on a marketing campaign or built something yourself.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of the internet in general - you should have a very solid understanding of what makes the internet tick.
  • Excellent writing & communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of content marketing and content production.
  • Basic/working knowledge of HTML.
  • Basic experience with Google Analytics or website management is helpful - you'll need to be GA-certified within 12 months of starting.
  • Flexibility - we work with clients big and small - one minute you might be working on content production for a national company, and the next moment you might be helping to write outreach emails for an internal company project - that's simply the nature of our business.
  • Organization - Candidate needs the ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once and still get things done.
  • Reliable and responsible candidates are a must - we deal with clients daily and our actions have a direct impact on their business, good or bad.

Bonus Skills:

Note: If you have experience with any of the areas below that's great but by no means required - give an honest assessment of your experience in each area so we know what you're capable of already.
